Joshua Lybolt
Joshua Lybolt is a results-oriented community leader seeking to improve the social and economic viability of the Northwest Indiana region. His goal is to empower and motivate the future generation to become agents of change to further develop our region for the betterment of its residents and improve the overall quality of life for all.
Joshua Lybolt currently serves as the regional director of the Northwest Indiana Small Business Development Center (NWI SBDC). Some of Joshua’s achievements include starting five successful businesses, recruiting over one million dollars of angel funding and nearly seven million dollars of loan financing to support the growth of these companies. He is an experienced entrepreneur, board member and organizational leader.

Joshua Lybolt currently serves as the regional director of the Northwest Indiana Small Business Development Center (NWI SBDC). He is an experienced entrepreneur, board member and community leader.
The Northwest Indiana SBDC is a federal government sponsored organization administered through the State of Indiana through the Indiana Economic Development Corporation that assists small businesses become successful by providing comprehensive business management advising, training and resources to the small business community in a seven county region in Northwest Indiana. Joshua assumed this role in late 2007
and has since redeveloped and overhauled the operations, strategy and image of the Northwest Indiana SBDC.
Joshua has extensive experience starting and managing businesses. His most recent successful business ventures include Prime Real Estate, Premier Development, and Marketing Executives. Prime Real Estate is a 52 agent, commercial and residential real estate brokerage company located in Schererville, which has achieved over 300% growth year over year, in it’s first three years in operation.
Since 2001, Joshua has been a visiting faculty member at Purdue University Calumet. During his tenure at PUC, he has taught a variety of courses from “Corporate Financial Management” to “Macroeconomics”. Joshua’s proudest achievement during this time was the creation and development of two undergraduate real estate courses that are now offered annually.
Joshua serves on the board of several not-for-profit and community organizations including the Lake County Advancement Committee, Northwest Indiana Business Quarterly, The Regional Development Corporation, Partners in Contracting Corporation, Hammond Innovation Center, PUC’s Center for Entrepreneurship Success, as well as Purdue University Lake County Cooperative Extension Service. Joshua is also an active member
of several community and trade organizations.
Joshua’s education includes a B.S. degree in Finance and an MBA from Purdue University Calumet, he is also currently pursuing a CBA from the University of Toledo. Joshua was raised in the Munster, Indiana school system. He and his wife, Maggie, are members of Faith Church in Dyer and reside in nearby St. John, Indiana.
Joshua is a recent recipient of the Indiana Governor’s Award for Tomorrows Leaders, elected
as the 1st District chair of the Indiana Federation of Young Republicans and serves on the Policy
Committee of the Young Republican National Federation.
